Back in June 2022, the Pinnacle Air Network conducted its annual meeting in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. Dynamic Aviation, Pinnacle’s host, supports the U.S. Department of Defense, provides wildfire management, applies sterile insect techniques, has an airborne data acquisition team, and provides environmentally conscious aerial application services. Miss Virginia is Dynamic’s Douglas C-47 converted to a DC-3 configuration. It sits in pristine condition and is rigorously maintained. I took this shot with my Leica Q3 full-frame 28 mm camera, itself a remarkable machine.
