EMERGING TECHNOLOGY
Luma Technologies, known for their broad line of Lumatech LED Caution Warning Display Panels, announced the introduction of two new LED upgrade suites soon to be available for Cessna Conquest 425 and 441 aircraft. Luma was established in March of 2006 with a primary focus on the design and manufacture of high-performance lighted products incorporating LED and other solid-state technologies that allow for increased safety, reliability, and value to its customers across the aircraft industry. Luma’s products include Integrated LED Caution-Warning Systems & Display Panels, Low-profile LED Switches & Annunciators, Gear Status Lights, and other electromechanical controls.

While the Conquest I and Conquest II models are uniquely different, Luma’s packaged approach is similar for both. The installation includes two new multi-celled LED Display Panels, a new solid-state Logic & Dimming Control Module, and an integrated LED Gear Status Module that combines both lights into a single rugged unit.
The difference with Conquest II is that the 441’s Display Panel also includes all new LED Fire Suppression and Test switches incorporated into a singular one-piece unit.
Both kits can be installed on a same-day basis or easily combined with other scheduled maintenance out on the horizon.
The Conquest 425 suite is nearing completion of final testing and is slated for FAA approval by June 1st.
Conquest II is just entering test and is planned to be available in the October-November timeframe.
Luma is showing working examples of both systems at numerous industry trade shows and conferences in the coming weeks, including the Twin Cessna Fly-in, ALI Conference/Seminar, and elsewhere. There will also be one or both systems installed on partner aircraft in attendance at some of these and other shows in the coming months.
