In 2011, they had been located in a parking lot outside the hall.A total of 83 aircraft were on static display at Henderson Executive airport, ranging from AirBus and Boeing’s airliner-size corporate jets to turboprop twins and singles. Learjet was in full celebration mode, marking the 50th anniversary of Bill Lear’s ground-breaking light business jet. A Learjet model 23,Aviation Association’s annualconvention and exhibition rotated back to Las Vegas this year, taking over most of the sprawling Las Vegas Convention Center. The sold- out display space was occupied by 1,100 exhibitors, many of whom went all-out to erect imposing structures in which to do business during the three-day event. For the first time at Las Vegas, a dozen aircraft were on convenient display inside the central exhibit hall, after beingby Clay Lacy, was stationed in the Bombardier display to pay tribute to the Learjet’s origins.Las Vegas welcomed NBAA with warm, clear weather in the desert venue, and the attraction of the city’s famous shows and casinos boosted attendance. Some 25,425 attendees were registered, from all 50 of the United States and 90 countries around the globe.
